It’s hard to believe it’s been FOUR years since I started Heather Etheridge Photography and even harder to believe that I’m writing a blog about starting a business.

In three short months, Patton has gone from sleeping most of the day to waking up and experiencing the world around him. It’s amazing (and heart wrenching) to see him grow and change into a little man. From things as simple as his first time outside feeling the warm breeze on his face as we left the hospital to his first time wiggling his toes in the grass, he’s constantly immersed in new experiences. There’s nothing like seeing the world through his eyes and watching this tiny human you created take it all in.

Welcome to the world, Carter! I loved spending the afternoon with this sweet family — how cute is big brother?! Neutral rooms, neutral outfits + good lighting will always make for the best in-home sessions & this session had all three. AND an adorable sleepy babe. Enjoy! xo

Sweet baby Blair arrived in March & it was such an honor to spend time with her + her family after she arrived home from the hospital. She slept like a champ for almost the entire session &. has such a sweet, calm demeanor. Welcome to the world, Blair! xo

These first four weeks have been the absolute best and most challenging of my life — nothing feels the same and priorities have completely shifted. I don’t think anything can prepare your heart for the intense emotions that come with the new title of mama. He is our whole world & in honor of this first little milestone I wanted to share his birth story & the best day of our lives — April 26, 2020.

Wayland is six-months old! I love first-year milestone sessions — it’s amazing how quickly babies change & you won’t regret capturing each adorable little phase. Look at this personality! xo

When I was pregnant and building my registry / deciding what products we wanted, I (as I’m sure everyone is) was bombarded with a million recommendations & MUST HAVE items & frankly, as a first time mom, it was overwhelming, so while it’s fresh on my mind I wanted to share the top ten products that we’ve actually used & LOVED during these first few weeks.

I can’t believe that I’m 39 weeks pregnant as I begin writing this — the past nine months have truly flown by & to be honest, as EXCITED + ready as I am to meet our baby, I’ll miss this phase — the little kicks inside my belly, this baby bump that I’ve always dreamed of having, all of the preparation + excitement that’s gone into readying our hearts + home. It’s just such a sweet time & I’ve loved almost every second.
